Alfred Letizio ushers in a new generation of meat merchandising featuring the introduction of the service meat department.
The Letizio Family enters a new generation as Albert Letizio, Sr. son of Alfred, continues in the family tradition in the "self service meat era" of the supermarket industry, serving as an innovator in the transition from "swinging beef" to value added boxed vacuum packed primal cuts, processed meats, poultry, seafood, lamb and veal. In 1975, Al Sr. founded New England Wholesale Meats Outlets, two southern New Hampshire retail meat stores offering wholesale meats to the public, with an emphasis on the family tradition for quality and service.

Beginning in the 1970's, Al, Sr.'s emphasis shifted from retailing to wholesaling and distribution, serving for more than 20 years as General Manager at Agar Supply Co, a major Meat Wholesaler in Boston, founding partner of Boston Lamb and Veal Company and collaborator in the development of an unprecedented network of wholesale meat distribution in retail and foodservice throughout the 6 states of New England. Al, Sr. also served as President at Hans Kissle Salad Company in Wilmington, MA and has served multiple organizations' Board of Directors.
Al Letizio, Jr. entered the family business as an apprentice meat cutter in 1975. During the next 7 years while a student at Austin Preparatory School and the University of Massachusetts where he earned a BS in 1981, Al Jr. continued to work at retail as a meat cutter, then worked in distribution and manufacturing in the Boston Meat Market District.
In 1982 Al began a career in the sales and marketing of meat and deli products.
In 1988, Al Jr. and Patti Letizio founded A.J. Letizio Food Brokers, Inc. in Salem, NH. The company rapidly expanded from Al & Patti to a team of qualified professionals serving the Supermarket Industry in the 6 states of New England.
In 1996 the company expanded into the foodservice business through the acquisition of Market Quest Foodservice Brokers of Milton, MA and began it's development as the only New England Sales and Marketing Company that serves both Retail and Foodservice.
With over 40 associates, the company stands proudly behind a family legacy for success, innovation and exceptional customer service.
